100% Design is the largest and longest-running design trade event for industry professionals in the UK. With over 400 well-known exhibiters, alongside up and coming designers it was the place to be this September.
The show was a great place to meet new and old suppliers. With talks going on from Cornilia De Ruiter the founder of Homewings and Daniel Hopwood, to name a few.
Without going into too much detail of the whole day. I thought I would share with you some of my great finds.
Quooker – I love these taps and use them a lot when completing a kitchen for a client. How ever they tend to mainly be a variety of chrome. But not now! I met with the very lovely Yardley Bespoke. They work along side Quooker to get the finish you want, weather it is black, gold, rose gold – to name a few. For those of you who didn’t know… black is the new chrome. So this is the perfect solution when a hot tap is what you need.
Drench Inspire by Design – This innovative company offers bespoke glass doors, roofs and finishing for your homes. All made in the UK and perfect for the contemporary home. I especially love the Frame collection.
Casamania – The Italian based furniture design and manufacturing company offers dynamic and high quality design solutions for residential, hospitality or commercial projects. There furniture is quite simple stunning with a twist of quirky.
The New English – The New English company stopped me in my tracks at the show. They create art on ceramics. They work with a range of local designers and artist and the best thing is they are even local to the midlands – based only Stoke. Each piece is bespoke to you. Who knew ceramics could be so cool?
VITA Copenhagen – A place where beautiful Danish lighting design meets the Scandinavian feel, high-quality materials and a genuine care for the environment. The company’s designer lamps are created with a focus on aesthetics, simplicity and functionality. The Stunning EOS UP feather lamps are even better in real life and I have just used them on a recent project.
I could go on all day about the great designers I met. But instead I will just showcase some of the photos of what I saw throughout the day from up to date projects I am working on and for inspiration.
