House D on the Livingetc house tours – Family Scheme
This five-storey town house was one of my favourite on the tour, each room was a complete surprise of clever design and full of interesting pieces, largely designed by Julia Thompson from Frank interiors and building company AST.
The house oozes personality and originality. It has been clever with an array of space saving ideas for wardrobe space and children’s toys.
The children’s tastes were clearly included and each room personalised to them with smart storage ideas, bespoke made to house toys and double up as a cool way to style. The 5thfloor ‘new york style ‘loft bedroom certainly gave the WOW factor!
The master bedroom itself was simply stunning, with a huge mirror as the main focal point. With a statement pendent light and rather than adding bedside table lamps there were low hanging bare bulb pendants.
The room led through sliding doors into a compact walk-in wardrobe and a breath taking bathroom with geometric statement tiles and a stylish layout, where the toilet and wet room was hidden behind a mid room wall.
Each room told a story of who they were and what they loved with function and fun. The perfect family home, right down to the chalk board family planner in the kitchen to the colourful lights adding a touch of drama to the space.
